Introduction

• The Traffic Prosecution is headed by Mr. Salah Mohamed Bu Faroosha- Chief Prosecutor and supported by Mr. Mohamed Hassan Abdul Rahim-  Asst. Chief Prosecutor, Mr. Ayoub Ahli – Senior Prosecutor, Mr. Yousuf Al Zarouni - Senior Prosecutor and Mr. Abdulla Ahli - Senior Prosecutor.

• The Traffic Prosecution is part of the Dubai Public Prosecution.  It is among the specialized Prosecutions which looks into the Traffic cases in Dubai caused by the traffic accidents (Injury of the people, death, serious injuries, damages of the vehicles) by investigating and disposing these cases or others such as violations of the Federal Traffic Law No. 21/1995 and the Penalty Laws of Dubai.  

Jurisdiction of Dubai Traffic Prosecution:

• The Traffic Prosecutors investigate all kind of Traffic cases (Injury for the people, death, serious injuries, damages of the vehicles) which are received from all the  police stations in Dubai. By hearing the complainants , statements of the witnesses and experts  Then they interrogate with the accused people and thereby dispose such Traffic Complaints, either by referring the cases to the Court or dropping the charges.

• Prepare draft memorandums of appeal with regards to the judgments issued by the Traffic Court before the Appeal Court.

• Investigate in the objections on Traffic Violations executed by the Dubai Police, through hearing witnesses statement of the people who issued such violations and the objectors statements. Thereby dispose of the objections either by referring the objection to the Court or canceling the violation.

• Investigate the violations issued by Dubai Transport Corporation  (Transporting passengers without license) through hearing witnesses statements of the people who issued the violations as well as the people who violated. Thereby to dispose the objections either by referring them to the Traffic Court or dropping the charges.
