The law library in Dubai Public Prosecution provided 60 new titles during the first half of this year as part of the prosecution’s interest to create a conducive work environment and to provide all the elements of excellence, through appropriate mechanisms to raise the legal awareness among employees and clients.
Chief of Mass Communication and acting Director of Public Relations Department, Tariq Ibrahim Saif, said that the Law Library participated during the same period of time in many exhibitions, conventions, and local and global meetings, in addition to participating in several courses such as the training course held in Culture and Science seminar in cooperation with the Social Affairs Ministry, which was about the children from unknown parents.
He added that participant in such exhibitions was to collect the modern versions of legal issues to provide all the legal references that meet the needs of prosecution’s members.
The Public Prosecution’s law library has provided legal representation through the participation and provide the latest legal books whether that was prepared by prosecution’s members or the one that have been classified by the library, containing all the modifications that occur to any law in a single reference, which would serve and help researchers and law students in their studies and legal research. He pointed that the federal and local laws are available on CDs for all the public.
Dubai Public Prosecution participated in the first half of this year in a number of exhibitions such as Abu Dhabi 2010, and an exhibition of criminal evidence in Law College in Sharjah University, the Legal Book exhibition in Dubai Courts and Abu Dhabi child forum, and the exhibition of Earth Hour.
Those participants was because of Public Prosecution interest to highlight their role and nature of its work and services provided to customers, including online services, and it was also an opportunity to view the strategic plan vision and to explain the roles of prosecution to protect the rights and freedom in the society and to provide the best services to the individuals and the institutions in addition to its role in spreading awareness of the legal and judicial culture in the community, and reaching for excellence and quality, which seek by the Public Prosecution.
